Jim Beam Bourbon Barrel - 1 lb.
This is a White Oak pellet and has what I describe as an almost "bacon-y" finish. I don't normally use Oak on poultry. But I use this on whole chickens fairly often and really enjoy it. Not too dark, not overly strong. A nice middle of the road flavor experience.
The skull's experience: While the various liquor-infused pellets may sound exciting, sadly, none of them impart any noticeable liquor flavor to your food. Its just a scientific improbability. Any liquor components present are too low in concentration, and burn away too quickly to have any effect on your food. You MAY notice a slight "nose" to some of them. But you really have to be looking for it. But don't let me talk you out of trying them! They're all great pellets in their own light. Some are sweeter, some almost "bacon-y" and some are simply fine represtations of their wood.
