All the qualities of their base Almond pellet, but delivers a slightly darker bark from the French Oak and Cabernet Wine presence. If you try really, really, really hard, you might just notice a very slight tanic finish. One of my three favorite pellets for beef! (Along with Knotty Wood Plum, and BBQ Pellets Red+White Oak Blend)

* Being (in most cases) a "full-tree" pellet, Knotty Wood products are much more flavorful than nearly every other brand of pellet. Not in smokiness, but in the characteristic flavor of the wood.
For use in the NInja Woodfire, I consider them superior to just about every other brand.
